The London Upper Limb Unit operates clinics across London (Chelsea, Harley Street and the City)providing easy access to a specialist opinion close to your home or work.

The clinics have access to investigations such as CT, MRI and Ultrasound scanning to aid in making the diagnosis.

After you have been seen, examined and suitable investigations carried out, a diagnosis will be made and the appropriate treatment protocol can be started.

Many shoulder and elbow conditions can be cured with physiotherapy and/or injections and you will be directed to a physiotherapist with a special interest and training in shoulder and elbow problems.

If surgery is required then this will be carried out at either The Lister Hospital or The London Clinic. Here state of the art equipment and techniques will be used to cure your upper limb problem. Many of these conditions can be treated using arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures which means a shorter hospital stay, less scarring and less post-operative pain and a more rapid return to normal function.
